Anirep gets a N$53m late submission

NEWLY listed energy company Alpha Namibia Industries Renewable Power (Anirep) has asked its shareholders to meet in order to discuss a late bid for the purchase of an additional 5 300 000 shares worth N$53 million.

The company announced last Friday through a notice to shareholders on the NSX website, that the meeting is slated for 4 October 2019.

“After closing of the private placement, Anirep received a late submission, and shareholders need to approve the transaction,” the company wrote.

The company stated that the shares will be offered at N$10 (1000 cents) per share and at the same terms as stated in the prospectus.

“Please note that a shareholder entitled to attend and vote at the meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote in that shareholder’s place,” the company added.

Anirep raised N$110 million of their N$250 million target during their offering through a private placement where shares are only sold to accredited investors such as pension funds and venture capital.
