Background
CERIM Luderitz Energy (Propriety) Limited (hereafter referred to as “the Client” or “the Owner”) is now conducting a public procurement for Owner’s Engineer consultancy services for the 50MW Wind Power Project in Lüderitz, Namibia. The relevant information is explained as follows:
The 50MW Wind Power Project (hereafter referred to as “the Project”) is situated approximately 16.5 kilometers south of Lüderitz, within the Karas Region of Namibia. Covering a total area of approximately 743 hectares, the Project will be developed under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT)model.
The Project will deploy seven Goldwind GWH175-7.8MW wind turbines, featuring semi-direct drive, medium-speed, permanent magnet technology. In addition to the turbines, the scope includes all associated civil works, a substation, and overhead transmission line infrastructure required for grid integration.
An Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) delivery model will be adopted, whereby the Owner will engage a single EPC contractor through a competitive bidding process to execute the full scope of works.
